The short version
- Your receipts, invoices and the details read from them are stored and read on your phone. There’s no account, and we can’t see them.
- ReceiptBook uses Google Analytics for Firebase and Firebase Crashlytics for anonymous usage and crash data. It isn’t linked to your identity or used for tracking, and you can turn it off in Settings.
- Purchases are handled by Apple or Google Play, and RevenueCat checks your purchase status. Neither we nor RevenueCat see your payment details.
- No ads, and we don’t sell your data.
1. Who we are
ReceiptBook is a mobile app developed and published by FightTech (“FightTech”, “we”, “us”). This policy explains what information the ReceiptBook app and this website (receiptbook-app.web.app) handle, why, and the choices you have. You can reach us at fighttech.vn@gmail.com or through fighttech.vn.
2. Data stored on your device
Everything you add to ReceiptBook — scans and photos of receipts, PDF, image and XML invoices, the details read from them (such as vendor, date, amounts, VAT and category), your notes, vendor rules and the change log — is stored locally on your phone. Reading documents happens on the device. ReceiptBook has no account system and never connects to your bank. We don’t run a server that receives this data, and we can’t see, access or recover it.
- Device backups. Depending on your phone’s settings, app data may be included in your device backups (such as iCloud Backup or a computer backup). Those backups are handled by Apple, Google or your computer, under their own terms.
- On-device AI reading (Pro). On iPhones that support Apple Intelligence, ReceiptBook Pro can use Apple’s on-device model to help read documents. This runs on your phone; the document isn’t sent to us.
- Face ID lock. If you turn on the app lock, the operating system performs the check. ReceiptBook only learns whether it succeeded and never receives your face data.
- Exports. When you export originals or a period package, ReceiptBook creates the files on your phone and you choose where to save or share them. Any copy you share is then handled by the app, service or person you chose.
3. Camera and photos
ReceiptBook asks for camera access only so you can scan documents. Photos and files are imported only when you pick them or open them in ReceiptBook from another app. You can change camera and photo access at any time in your phone’s Settings.
4. Analytics and crash reports
To understand how ReceiptBook is used and to fix problems, the app uses Google Analytics for Firebase and Firebase Crashlytics, services provided by Google. They may collect:
- Device and app information, such as device model, operating system version, app version, language, and approximate country or region.
- Anonymous identifiers, such as an app instance ID generated by Firebase. These aren’t linked to your name, email, Apple ID or Google account.
- Usage events, such as which screens are opened and which features are used, and when the app is opened.
- Crash logs, such as the stack trace and basic device state at the moment of a crash.
What is never sent: images or text of your documents, amounts, vendor names, notes, or anything else you enter.
This data isn’t linked to your identity, isn’t used to track you across other companies’ apps or websites, and isn’t used for advertising.
You can turn it off. In ReceiptBook, open Settings and switch off Share anonymous usage. Analytics and crash reporting stop on that phone until you switch it back on.
Google processes this information on our behalf and may do so on servers in the United States and other countries. You can learn more at firebase.google.com/support/privacy.
5. When you contact us
If you email us — for example to ask for help or send feedback — we receive your email address, your message and anything you choose to attach or include (such as your device model or app version). We use this only to reply to you and to improve ReceiptBook, and keep it only as long as needed for that. Please don’t send passwords, card numbers or other sensitive details.
6. Purchases
ReceiptBook Pro subscriptions and the lifetime purchase are processed by Apple through the App Store or by Google through Google Play, depending on where you got the app. We don’t receive your name, Apple ID, Google account or payment details. The app receives your purchase status from the store — for example, which plan is active and when it renews — so it can unlock paid features. See the Apple Privacy Policy and the Google Privacy Policy.
To check purchases and restore them on a new device, the app uses RevenueCat, a purchase-management service. RevenueCat receives the store transaction details for your purchase, a random app user ID created by the app, and basic device and app information such as operating system version, app version and store country. It doesn’t receive your name, email, payment details or anything you enter in the app. RevenueCat processes this on our behalf; see the RevenueCat Privacy Policy.
7. This website
receiptbook-app.web.app is a static website hosted on Firebase Hosting (Google). Like most web hosts, the hosting provider may log technical information such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested, in order to deliver and protect the site. The site loads the Inter font from Google Fonts. It doesn’t use cookies, analytics or advertising.
8. How we use information
- To keep ReceiptBook working and fix crashes and bugs.
- To understand which features are useful, so we can improve the app.
- To reply to your messages.
- To meet legal obligations where they apply.
10. Retention and deletion
- On your phone. Your data stays on your phone until you delete it. To delete everything at once, open Settings in ReceiptBook and tap Erase all data. This removes every document, original, rule and setting from your phone and can’t be undone. Deleting the app has the same effect.
- Backups. Copies in device backups remain until those backups are replaced or deleted.
- Analytics and crash data is kept according to Firebase’s retention settings and then deleted automatically. It can’t be linked back to you, so we can’t look it up by name or email.
- Emails are kept only as long as needed to help you. You can ask us to delete them.
- Purchase records are kept by Apple, Google and RevenueCat as needed to confirm and restore purchases and to meet legal requirements.
11. Children
ReceiptBook is not directed at children under 13, or under the minimum age required in your country, and we don’t knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we’ll delete it.
12. Your choices and rights
- Turn off anonymous usage and crash reporting at any time in ReceiptBook’s Settings.
- Change camera and photo access at any time in your phone’s Settings.
- Delete everything ReceiptBook stores with Erase all data in Settings, or by deleting the app.
- Depending on where you live (for example in California, the United Kingdom or the European Union), data protection laws may give you the right to access, correct or delete personal information, or to object to its use. Because we don’t hold the data you enter in the app, most requests will concern emails you’ve sent us — write to fighttech.vn@gmail.com and we’ll help.
13. Security
Because your data stays on your phone, it benefits from your phone’s built-in security, including your device passcode, and from the optional app lock. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but we work to protect the limited information we handle.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we’ll change the effective date above, and for significant changes we’ll give notice on this page or in the app.
